A medical doctor, Global Health and HIV expert with over 18 years. A strategic thought leader in HIV who cumulatively provided technical leadership, strategic investment and political advice to over $ 10 Billion of HIV investments across 80 countries in Middle East and North Africa, East, Southern Africa, West and Central Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean as well as South East Asia regions; and directly managed USD 500 million in HIV and technical support grants. Strong experience in health diplomacy and cooperation at all levels working with government, bilateral and multilateral partners as well as communities, Key Population and civil society organizations and networks. Passionately committed to gender equity, human rights, community empowerment and quality sustainable person-centred programming. Awarded a Prize in Public Health in Medical School and a British Chevening Scholarship. Mother tongue is Arabic with fluent English and Basic French.
