Tax data has shown that 410 dentists in England and Wales earned more than £300,000 in 2008/9, up by eight per cent on the previous year.
In total almost 700 dentists earned more than £250,000 from NHS and private work, according to the figures from the NHS Information Centre.
ATHENS, Greece -- Doctors in Thessaloniki said on Sunday (August 8th) that they suspect three elderly patients who died of encephalitis recently may have been infected with a rare virus. Authorities are investigating the amputation of a 91-year-old woman's healthy leg in an Austrian hospital.
Wilfried Siegele, a spokesman for the Innsbruck public prosecutor's office, said the investigation was launched last month after the hospital in the town of St Johann in Tyrol province alerted authorities about the June 16 incident.
