Sudan Western Darfur calls on banning non-iodized salt
The minister of health in western Darfur has called for implementing the laws prohibiting the usage of non-iodized salt to eliminate the endemic iodine deficiency in the state.
The director of curative medicine in the state health ministry, Muzamil Ahmed told Radio Miraya that rate of iodine deficiency disease, also known as, endemic goiter is on a constant rise, despite efforts to combat it.
